We started MendAI with one aim: Making cutting-edge technology accessible, affordable and secure for the mental health industry. We build tools that support the people doing the work of care, and never replace them.
Founders
We have spent our careers shipping technology into regulated, high-stakes industries. We believe the hard part of AI in mental health is not the model, but grounding it, securing it, and making it accountable to the people who use it and the professionals they choose to share with.
So we build carefully: one narrow job for each AI feature, plain language about what it does and does not do, data that stays private, and prices a practice or a programme can live with.

Hauk Landsverk
Hauk is an experienced tech entrepreneur and digital-transformation executive with deep roots in omnichannel retail, media, and high-growth startups. For more than eight years he has focused on applying AI and machine learning to core business challenges, pairing strategy with hands-on execution across product, marketing, and business development.
A strategist, speaker, and builder, he leads MendAI's vision, partnerships, and growth — turning careful technology into products that reach the people who need them. Outside the company he's a free-fall parachutist, big-mountain climber and skier, and a passionate cook, bringing the same energy to the business as he does to everything else.

Willem Verschuur
Since Willem wrote his first lines of code as a teenager, he has spent his career as a full-stack engineer and founder across every major platform shift — desktop, web, cloud, and now AI. He founded his first companies in his twenties, working hands-on across the entire stack and learning the fast-paced reality of early startups.
He has deep AWS experience and is completing an MSc in Cyber Security, because the interesting problems in AI aren't really in the model — they're in grounding it, securing it, and making its outputs auditable enough to run where getting it wrong is expensive. He helps builders in fintech and healthcare. At MendAI he owns the architecture, security, and engineering behind the products.
